Linda Wurm Bryant
I am an illustrator + graphic designer. I live in Oak Bluffs, on Martha’s Vineyard.
I offer several illustration and design styles, which I have highlighted on this site. My approach to visual solutions include an emphasis on typography, the balance of images + consistent structure of graphic layout. My photographic work emphasizes pattern, space + architectural details. My Threadbears soft sculpture work is a 3-dimensional extension of my whimsical illustration style.
illustration - whimsical, realistic + complex scenes
house + cottage portraits
graphic design - project management + production
logo + book design
photography + scanning - editing

I studied illustration + graphic design at Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI, where I also was an avid student of printmaking + photography.

LindWurm
Mythical winged serpent-like dragon of Germanic + Scandinavian origin.
The word ‘LindWurm’ derives from Old German + Scandinavian roots. The LindWurm dragon appears in German and Scandinavian mythology, plus its image is found in heraldry, the arms of Bavarian towns, in artwork, sculpture + fountains. While visiting Munich, I found myself standing on a street called LindWurm Strasse. I have taken liberties to give my LindWurm four legs. Historically he had only two front legs.
The perfect fun logo + business name. Also, he carries my radiograph + sometimes my fountain pen.
